Nowadays, it’s a trend to have separate function for all the rituals, and mostly, every function has it’s dress code specially for Mehndi & Haldi, which brings me to bifurcating the dresses as according to the functions.  

I’m not a big fan of buying my wedding outfits from a particular store. I prefer getting my dresses designed from a particular designer. Most of my outfits are designer.

Mehndi is the first ritual in the Wedding wear in every girls put Mehndi on their hand, which makes the need to have a comfortable dress for the function as you don’t want your mehndi to get dirty.

Also, this function generally has a theme of wearing Greens, as green is the colour of Mehndi.

I styled myself by wearing a Green Kurti paired with a Golden sharara, as sharara is in the great trend. With the dress I worn a beautiful and colourful Jutti and to complete my style I worn a pair of super cute Golden earrings.

Haldi

Haldi function is one of the important rituals in the Indian Weddings, wherein, the haldi or Turmeric is applied to the bride and the groom, also, at some of the places people play for sometime with haldi by applying it to each other.

This function has the Yellow theme as Haldi is Yellow in colour. Well, you need something comfortable and trendy for all the functions.

Styled in a Yellow Crop-top, Skirt & Jacket dress. Keeping it simple, paired it with a beautiful long earrings and comfortable strap heels from Myntra.

Sangeet

Sangeet function is all about showing your dancing skills and having a great fun with your family dancing on DJ and Bhangra. People also call it Ring ceremony.

Taking Dhoti’s as a great trend, got my outfit designed and paired my Dhoti with short-long top of same colour. I got a necklace attached to top so that it gives a bling to my outfit. Paired it with a cute bracelet, traditional earrings and pair of strap heels from Mochi.

Wedding

The big day, when all the rituals happen to complete a wedding.

Wondering to wear something designer and stylish on this day. Well, what better than a Lehenga to get along this Wedding season. Lehenga never goes out of trend. Right Girls ?

Got a designer lehenga, the skirt is white floral printed organza, paired with a silk dark pink hand-work blouse and heavy peach net dupatta, giving it a perfect combination.

Paired it with golden jhumka, bracelet from Tory Burch and pair of Heels from Venus Footwear, Delhi. Makeup & hair on and all set for the function.

Reception

Reception is the function where all friends and family come together and celebrate the new couple. Wear something classy and stylish for this function to look perfect for the wedding season.   

For this function, got a beautiful outfit from Ella, Mumbai (the only outfit I got ready-made).

The dress is all black, an Embroidered blouse with a skirt like palazzo and a Long Jacket to give it a classy and girly look. Paired it with a cute chain, traditional earrings & pair of strap heels from Venus Foortwear, Delhi.
